St. Thomas Church Ambazhakkadu
The St.Thomas Church of Ambazhakkadu had centuries old background as it was built in 300 AD. It was the fulfillment of a cherished dream of a group of people inspired by St.Thomas.
The place in which the church now stands was donated by a "Namboothiri" (Brahmin) of Ambazhakkadu Mana hence it got it's name "Ambazhakkadu". This itself shows the unity and mutual understanding that prevailed among different castes in the ancient period.
