St. Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda, Thrissur was started during 1964. It was the materialisation of a dream of the Blessed Mother Mariam Thresia, the visionary pioneer in the field of Family Apostolate. The founding of the College by the Holy Family Congregation was an answer to the increasing demands for higher education among women.
Now the institution has ascended to envious heights of eminence, and has been re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at A grade.
The College has strength of 1660 students who are being trained to develop a positive attitude to life by exploiting their latent faculties and inborn talents.
In a vibrant and dynamic environment, the institution has been able to cater for the academic growth of a large number of heterogeneous women. For the last four decades the institution has remained for thousands of women to stay and complete their study successfully.
