Government Ayurveda Hospital Puthenchira situated at 6 km away from Mala town and a half km from "Puthenchira Sadanam" / "Saanthi Nagar Puthenchira". It was started in 1986 as an Ayurveda Dispensary with the facility of one Ayurveda Doctor and a few associated staffs. Later, in 1991, it has been upgraded as a 20 bedded hospital provided all the necessary amenities including "Panchakarma" specialist treatment under the supervision of Panchakarma specialist Doctor.
