The Civil Supplies Department of the Kerala Government has launched an online system for submission of application forms for new Ration Cards. An applicant has to use the ‘Citizen Login’ on the Civil Supplies website to access the service. After filling in all the details online in Malayalam, a print out of the form has to be submitted along with the relevant documents at the Taluk Supply Office for verification.
Indian Ration Card lets you not only obtaining rationing articles from ration shop but it uses as a proof of identity and address proof. In some occasions, it acts as an income proof too. Civil Supplies Department, Kerala has issued a notice to public regarding its ongoing process of ration card renewal, an opportunity to verify the data, department has entered for each of the ration cards. Citizen can login using their ration card number and captcha to view what details they have entered to our new ration card. This facility is only for a few days and only one chance for every card holder so that anyone want to make sure their data, they have to act on or before 28th of August 2015.
Process for renewing existing ration cards in Kerala is in progress. The first stage, issue of applications, will be completed by 17th of January, 2015, according to Kerala Civil Supplies Department. Rather usual procedure, this renewal includes one more process ie., consideration of finding beneficiaries according to National Food Security Act, 2013, India.
Every month, Civil Supplies Department of Kerala Govt. issues notification stating what are the Rationing articles and their quantity citizen can have as per the classification of ration cards such as APL, BPL, AYY etc. Ration card holders can avail these items from their registered retail ration shops on weekly share / monthly share basis.
'Karunya Benevolent Fund' provides financial aid for poor people suffering from serious ailments, affecting heart, kidney, liver and brain; cancer and palliative care, by raising funds through Kerala Lottery, Govt. of Kerala. Each patient is eligible for grants of up to Rs. 2 lakh. The income generated through the sale of Karunya Lottery is exclusively devoted for extending financial assistance to the purpose.

Civil Supplies Department has issued a notification clarifying how final off-line correction can be done by each applicant. Citizens to take care of the mistakes made by data entry workers???. Department will send draft print out of each application to concerned ration shop for distributing to card applicant. Applicant (owner) to verify and correct it if any and return to ration shop. In earlier statement, they said online correction won't be considered since offline facility provided. Now they again corrected their statement online correction also be taken for final consideration.
